WCOAP 2015 - Day 1 - #1 PLO, #2 Irish
Des:
Hi everyone and welcome to day one of WCOAP 2015 which will see two events start and the award of bracelet number one in the small hours of tomorrow morning.
The 2 day PLO Championship has just started with 54 runners and 90 minute late registration. We"ll update on the final player list when late registration closes. Included in the initial starters is APAT founder and all-around game legend Tony "tikay" Kendall. This is Tony"s first ever APAT event entry; despite attending tens of APATs as an organiser, and we"re absolutely delighted to see him play. He is (although he wouldn"t admit this) somewhat of a PLO expert, so it will be very interesting to see how he fares today.
The Irish Championship will start at 7pm this evening and run to a conclusion.
Tom is running events at Aspers today and unfortunately his updater has let him down. So the update will be very lite throughout the day - with our core objective to ensure everything runs smoothly in the cardroom. That said, I"m sure Tom will keep feed through the headlines as the day progresses.
I will be onsite from Thursday; alongside Paulie, to bring you the second half of the festival.
