Updates - Welsh Championship at Cardiff Grosvenor 28th-30st Aug 2015
Matt D:
Welcome to Day 1 of the Welsh Amateur Poker Championship being held at Cardiff Grosvenor in Wales. Irish Tom and I are here today, with special guest updater John Murray joining us from tomorrow.
We"ve pretty much a full house for Day 1b. Day 1a started at 6pm with 35 runners. With 3 full hours of late reg tonight, we expect that number to rise considerably.

Wai Gal is the first player to exit. Bought in after the table draw above was published. But exited before I was able to post it.
Matt D:
Few wifi problems here in Cardiff. We"ve a bunch of photos to upload, once we can get a more stable connection.

2 further local players have exited the fray, making the total number of exits now 3.
Fans of Channel 4"s seminal Late Night Poker series may recognise the name Rob Thomas. That"s because Rob produced the series. Filmed right here in Cardiff at the Splot Industrial Estate, Late Night Poker was the first time UK audiences had seen poker on their televisions. It played a huge part in the popularity of the game here.
Quick bit of Late Night Poker trivia: The show was broadcast for 10 series. The highest ranking hand on record over that time was a King High Straight Flush by... me! :D
Whilst I"ve been reminiscing, Ricky Farbrother has left the room.
Matt D:
Up to 46 entries now. We"ve just started level 3. Blinds 75/150.
