Congrats to Rodders.

Well deserved for his numerous podium finishes and, not least, his consecutive high finishes this season.

Well done to Des too for a major piece of work.

Thanks John.  If I"d had the time over the past few months to publish this piece of work, you"d have been on top - as you have been for the past couple of years.  That"s clear for all to see.

That said, I"m sure this sort of visibility will motivate players to scrap hard for points in the coming months, and that"s what you do best!  So I"m really look forward to seeing how Steve and yourself can protect your positions in the coming months.

Hi Guy"s

First and foremost, great piece or work by Des, really excellent. Thanks for the comments of congratulations.

Was a bit surprised by the result, I obviously knew my results were good and expected to be pretty highly ranked but did not think I was in with a chance of the top spot as I thought John was a dead cert. John has been consistently successful for so long I don"t think anybody can question the fact he is considered the greatest player on the APAT circuit as nobody can touch his record, even if I happen to have more ranking points than him (and that may not be the case for long). All that being said I will happily accept the result. It was achieved with more than my share of good luck and also by luckily being in the position to be able to play a high number of APAT events, there are a number of other players who could easily have done the same in the same circumstances. I have probably played about 30-40 events which is a tiny number and without a lot of luck I could easily not even be in the top 200, When playing online going 40 tournaments without a cash is pretty standard even for a very good player (that is poker).

Des made the very valid point this now puts a bit of pressure on for the upcoming WCOAP (please tell me when that is *lol*). John will probably be planning to take back the number one spot and it would take a brave man to back against him doing just that with his mixed game skills at the worlds. However any player in the top 10 is capable of a run that will raise them to a position to take the top spot, even outside of the top 10 you have Chris Webber (who will almost certainly be top 10 by the end of the WCOAP), Rich Baker, JP Round, Glen Laming, Stu Ward and a number of other all of whom are good enough to go on a run to get right up there. Defending the position in 2016 will be hard but I intend to give it my best shot.

One question do the cards actually exist or are they virtual and can we buy them? I would like the whole top 10 if possible *lol*. Do they only exist for the top 10?

Oh and finally, I am pretty sure I won the season four live rankings outright and it was not a draw *lol* it went all the way down to the last event in Llorett Da Mar and was one titanic battle between myself, Darren and Jack and we were all still in it going into the last event, really enjoyed that season. :-)

Have a great New Year people and look forward to getting back to it in 2016.

Thanks Steve.

With regards your specific questions:

The cards are virtual at this time, and available only for the top 10 and our poster boy. ;)  We will shortly announce a development of All*Stars that will allow players to earn their own cards, both virtual and physical.  We"re pretty excited about this, more to follow.

You certainly did win the S4 rankings in one of our most dramatic finishes ever.  My comment related to how points were allocated in the season with this specific scoring mechanism.  So slightly different.  We had a very dramatic finish to S1 also, which finished level after all live and online events were completed, requiring a shootout....
