WCOAP Discussion
troubled joe:
Hi, quick question: is it straightforward to get a refund if you reach day 2 of a tournament and it clashes with another event that you"ve entered and paid for in advance (e.g. reaching day 2 of main having entered the heads up)? Is it expected that we"ll use the eventbrite reservation instead and forfeit the booking fee?
Cheers
GGUK2008:
I was hoping desperately for a similar schedule to last year, which I loved because of the variety of poker variants available to me across the Easter weekend. Sadly not so this year, and it looks like I"ll play the Razz and the Main. Disappointed to see the Cash Championship as the very last event with minds turning to going back to work the next day, though I would imagine this has a lot to do with the knowledge that it will be done in approximately four hours and so can be the very last event.
No doubt, though, I"m in the minority, and there will be a lot of love for this schedule, and that"s definitely the main thing. So well done, and thank you, to all those who are involved in putting together what must be a mammoth undertaking.

Just wondering given the size and impressiveness of this event what are the chances of setting up a sat for a package like we have had before like a £55 buyin or something like that where the winner gets entry to the main and some sides and maybe some cash towards accomadation? Think that would get some interest.

I would definately support a satty like this if you can set it up. A £440 package for a £55 sat (with £11 feeders) each Thursday is perfect. Allows the qualifier to play main and 6 £55 sides or main, 2 £55 sides and the hi roller.
If you wanted to add some expenses money in, then suggest a £30 rebuy for a £600 package

I"m sure there would be enough interest to run an £11 satellite every night for a £55 token which could then be used either in a passport game each week as suggested or as a direct buy in when the seats go on sale.
I"m equally certain that people would like this to continue through until next year too, with maybe the passport game being a monthly thing.
