Day 2 UK Team Updates
Mikeyboy9361:
Another great APAT team event, thanks to all the usual suspects. And well done to team LBPN, justifying both our slots with the A team finishing 6th and the B team 7th. If we had have had that bit of luck today........
Matt D:
We can now confirm the medal positions!
In third place, and taking home Bronze medals and £1,200 is London Poker Meetup:
In second place, £1,800 the richer, and recipients of a set of Silver Medals is... Midlands Ball Busters.
And our winners, an ecstatically happy Blonde Poker Forum! 26th last year, and so unlucky in this event in years past, they"ve really pulled it out the bag here! Gold Medals and £3,000... Your Champions! Blonde Poker! :D

Luthee13:
The final table got underway around fifteen minutes ago and play here is incredibly slow. Small raises pre flop getting through and only two or three flops have been seen...
As I am typing this, the action comes!
Brian makes a raise from the button to 27k
Suranne folds and Geo moves all in for 97k
It folds round to Brian who thinks for a while, counts out the chips and makes the call.
Brian has Ad 8h
Geo has Qd Js
The flop comes down 7h 9s 8d giving Geo the inside straight draw and including 4 more outs in his favour.
The Kd makes no difference, Geo still needing a queen, jack or ten.
The river brings the 9c and the captain of the winning Blonde poker team, George Dickson, is sent to the rail!
Very well played to him, he will receive £105 to go with his team gold.
Luthee13:
The players seem to be loosening up a little bit here and we see a little action.
Mark L and Paul tangled with a raise pre, a bet, raise and call on the flop and an all in from Mark on the turn.
Paul thought for a while but folded and Mark added around 220k to his stack.
A few hands later and Matt announces all in from mid position.
It folds to Paul in the big blind who asks "how much?" with a wry giggle and a smile at Matt.
93k more for Paul to call and he hesitantly throws in a chip to make the call.
On their backs: Matt has Ac 6h , Paul has Ks 8c
The board comes out 3s Jh Qh 7h 3d and Matt gets the double up and now has around 240k.
