WCOAP 2016 Updates Day 1 - #1 NLHE #2 8-GAME #3 Shootout
Luthee13:
#1 Hold'em Championship
JJ, under the gun, raises to 27k.
Matt, in the small blind, folds.
Chan, in the big blind, announces "all in".
Danny gets out of the way and JJ moves the rest of his chips forward to indicate a call.
They turn their cards over and JJ has Ac Ks while Chan is behind with As Qc
They are so close in chip stacks...
On the flop, Chan"s shouts for a queen are fully ignored and we see 7h Kd 10s - increasing JJ"s lead but giving Chan outs for the straight to take the lead...
The 5h on the turn is not any help to Chan and it all comes down to the river card.
But Chan"s tournament is over as the 8s falls and he is out in 4th place for £620.
IrishTom:
#3 Shootout 400/800 Avg 66k
We get to 6-handed and we have a 3-way all in:
Jay Harwood (at risk) Ad 9s
Andrew Marshall (at risk) Ah Qs
Dorina Clocan (chip leader) 7h 7c
Board runs out 5d Jd 9h 7d Kc and we lose both Jay Harwood (5th) and Andrew Marshall (6th)
Very few hands later Tim Kenyan gets his short stack all in with Ad Qh against chip leader Dorina holding 6h 6s and with no luck for Tim on a Board Jh 4d 2d 10s 7c he departs on the medal bubble in 4th..
And we are now in the medals with 3 Italian colleagues fighting it out...
Giuseppe Maggisano
Dorina Clocan
Germano Maurizio Cerve
IrishTom:
#3 Shootout 600/1200 Avg 133k
Germano raises, Giuseppe calls and Dorina pushes all in... only for Germano to make the call... and Giuseppe as well... !
Germano (at risk) A s Qd
Dorina (at risk) Ac 4s
Giuseppe 6d 7c
Flop 8s Kh 4h to put Dorina ahead...
Turn Jc keeps her ahead
River Js and Dorina takes the pot (Germano having 5.2k more so scoops that amount from Giuseppe...

#1 Hold'em Championship
There is not a lot to report from the final 3 here. No-one is a "short stack", although JJ is clear chip leader...
As I typed that, there was action!
Matt, first to act in the small blind, raised it up to 33k. Danny made it 81k and Matt said "all in".
Danny made the call and turned Jc Js
Matt shows Ah Kh and is the player at risk and behind.
The flop turns that around though - 4c Kd 3h and Matt takes a clear lead and is hoping to hold for the double up.
Danny shouting for a Jack but is not heard, 2s on the turn.
Still no luck with the 7s and Matt takes the double up.
Luthee13:
Matt ever adding to his stack -
He makes it 25k to go, from the button, pre flop and gets called by JJ in the big blind.
The flop is 2s 3d Ah
JJ bets 25k and is called by Matt.
The turn is the 2s
JJ bets 35k and is, again, called.
The river is the 5c which brings much chuntering and chatting from JJ who then cuts out 95k from his stack and pushes it across.
Matt calls and shows Ac 4d
JJ begins a rant about the 5 being the card he didn"t want to see...but either way, he mucks and Matt takes the pot with the straight.
