WOW WOW WOW!!!

Mercier bringing it home has resulted in MASSIVE wins for the stakers.

Simon won over £100,000 and Suzanne wasn"t far off that line.

We have been regarding £20k, £30k, £40k wins as massive (which they are), but £108k and £88k are out of the park.

On a normal day, we would be raving over Ross" £34k profit, which is a huge result in its own right.

Simon B and Ross both had a bit on Chidwick as well, adding an extra £5k to their winnings. Dann and Simon L went further, and coined in £10k from Chids. If only they had backed Mercier as well.

Shirley stuck with Negreanu (and why not?) and, once again, it proved to be profitable for her.

I believe this is the first time in our history that everyone has scored points in one tournament.

Can you check my points on this one please. Think I should have 35 points.

Result of the Millionaire Maker. I could have missed someone. Do let me know if your favourite donkey finished 994th and I will add their point.

The winner, Jason Dewitt, who won his second bracelet, endeared himself to the masses with his post-tournament comments - "Nothing"s going to change........I already have a good lifestyle."

More compelling was Lisa Meredith, who finished third and won $500k in her first ever WSOP tournament. She has only one other recorded poker cash, in April this year when she cashed in a 529-runner tournament, finishing in......1st place. I have a feeling this one has played quite a lot, just in under-the-radar events.

Mikhail Semin reached his second final table this year. Having finished 5th in the $10k Dealers Choice, he got his second the hard way, in a field of 7,190 entries.
