Ladies & Gents, we are pleased to confirm details for the Scottish Amateur Poker Championship, where I have the pleasure of being your host for the weekend, with Lucy Amos providing a live update/blog throughout and Leigh Wiltshire joining us on Sunday to produce a live stream for Day 2 of the Main Event and also cover the "APAT Destination Vegas 2017" event.

APAT SEASON 10 IN ASSOCIATION WITH GROSVENOR
SCOTTISH AMATEUR POKER CHAMPIONSHIP
SAT 4TH - SUN 5TH FEB 2017


The Scottish Amateur Poker Championship will be played at the Grosvenor (Maybury) Casino on Saturday 4th February with Day 1 starting at 2:30pm, and concluding on Sunday 5th February with Day 2 starting at 12:00 noon.

The casino is open from 12:00 noon until 6am at weekends.  The poker room will be open from 12:30pm on Saturday and from 11:30am on Sunday.  To play poker you must be a full member of Grosvenor Casinos - to join as a Member you need to present photo ID (current Grosvenor Casino membership of any Grosvenor Casino will suffice to enter).  Dress code is smart casual (hoodies/caps are acceptable).  There are around 100 spaces for parking on site that is free, beyond that it would be parking on the street in the opposing housing estates.

Tea/Coffee/Fizzy Juice from soda gun are all free.

APAT Weekend Schedule Of Events

Saturday 4th Feb 2017

14:30-23:00 (10 levels) - Main Event APAT Scottish Amateur Poker Championship (NLHE Freezeout) Day 1 - £75+£7 with 15k chips on a 45 min clock.  Structure HERE with late entry to and including first break (4 levels).  No Deals allowed.  Maximum players 150.  The winner of the Amateur Poker Championship will win an added value prize of an "APAT Destination Vegas 2017 Package".  

18:00-01:00 - Destination Vegas STTs (On demand on the hour - expected duration 60 mins each) Single Table Satellites £10+£2 2k stack 10 min clock - winner gets entry into the Sunday "APAT Destination Vegas 2017" where 1 Vegas 2017 Package is GUARANTEED.

Sunday 5th Feb 2017

12:00 - Main Event APAT Scottish Amateur Poker Championship Day 2

12:00-15:00 - Destination Vegas STTs (On demand on the hour - expected duration 60 mins each) Single Table Satellites £10+£2 2k stack 10 min clock - winner gets entry into the Sunday "APAT Destination Vegas 2017" where 1 Vegas 2017 Package is GUARANTEED.

15:00- APAT Destination Vegas 2017 NLHE (Max 1 Rebuy OR 1 Re entry OR 1 Add On £75 for 10k to first break) £75+£7 with 10k chips on a 20 min clock - same structure as Main Event with late entry to and including first break, which will be after Level 6.  Deals are not allowed for Vegas Packages, but may be considered for any additional cash winnings.  Buyins retained for "APAT Destination Vegas 2017 Packages" for every £1750 - money for lesser amounts paid out - 1 PACKAGE GUARANTEED

PRIZES/ADDED VALUE

Each event prize pool breakdown will be confirmed at the venue after the event has closed for further entries.  An example of the default APAT prize structure can be found HERE.

The winner of the Amateur Poker Championship will win an added value prize of an "APAT Destination Vegas 2017 Package"  

The top three finishers will receive the coveted APAT National Championship Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.

Season 10 Player Of The Year (POTY) ranking points will be awarded for both the National Championship (Top 18) and Sunday"s APAT Destination Vegas 2017 (Top 5).  POTY details can be found HERE, where the POTY will win an "APAT Destination Vegas 2017 Package".

Reserve a seat via APAT Eventbrite HERE which will close when all allocated seats are reserved or at 12:00 noon on Fri 3rd Feb latest.

Clarification on the APAT Eventbrite facility is available HERE, and ALL players who reserve a seat must register in person, and pay the FULL buy-in and reg fee, at the venue poker room cash desk before the event advertised start time, otherwise the seat will be freed up at this time.

ALL players bought-in in advance (either via the APAT/Grosvenor Online Holding Tank, Main Event Travel, direct entry with APAT (eg Online Satellite token or prizewinner/added value) or direct with the venue, will have their chips put into play at the start of the event and, if not seated, will be blinded out from the start - you DO NOT need to register in the venue prior to the event start - APAT will provide your name to the venue and register you into the event - so just turn up and take your seat (even if late arriving) - any player who registers and buys in at the venue on the day will also have chips put into play at the start even if they are not seated.

If you register online via the holding tank, and subsequently do not de-register online before the holding tank closes, or you purchase an entry via Main Event Travel, and subsequently you are unable to use your seat, then you need to use the APAT Seat Exchange facility HERE to off-load your seat.

ON THE DAY

Players can buy-in at the venue for available seats on a first-come-first-served basis from 1 hour prior to each event.

Players who have registered for an event before the end of the late entry period, but are placed on the Alternates list, will be offered a seat as it becomes available.

EVENT REGISTRATION

You are advised to turn up well in advance to complete event registration, including allowing time to join as a member if needed.  

Event registration will open in the venue 1 hour prior to both the Main Event (so at 13:30 on Sat) and the Sunday Destination Vegas 2017 event (so 14:00 on Sunday) for those NOT bought-in in full in advance (via the APAT/Grosvenor Online Holding Tank or Main Event Travel or APAT/Venue) and is on a strictly first-come-first-served basis.

For those who have reserved a seat for the Main Event in advance via the APAT Eventbrite facility, they are reminded they need to register in person and pay the full buyin/reg fee before the start time, when at this time all unclaimed reserved seats will be freed up.

Players may leave the venue after registering for an event but we encourage you to be back and seated by 5 minutes prior to the event advertised start time.  However, it is not obligatory to be in your seat at the start of the events and if not chips will be put into play, and remain in play, and you will be blinded out.

Terms and Conditions

Please note the event is subject to the terms & conditions of the Amateur Poker Association & Tour.

All events are subject to APAT/Venue discretion on the day, and structures/levels may be altered and timings changed if viewed in the best interests of the event.

Cancellations

Once a seat has been purchased, and if plans change, then players need to utilise the APAT Seat Exchange within the APAT Forum HERE to trade their seat at the face value.  Seat Exchange Guidelines HERE apply.
