This result was more relief than celebration for Klodnicki. He has now finished in the top five on ten occasions, and been heads-up four times. He has twice filled each of the third, fourth and fifth places and his three runners-up spots have included the One Drop and the Players Championship, so have been very lucrative, but this is the first time he has taken a bracelet home.
Is Luca making a late bid to retain his title? Barrie had a big lead - is it too late?

This win completed a Triple Crown for Gimbel, making him only the seventh player to do so. The total has been stuck on five for five years, with no-one doing it since 2012, and now two players, Gimbel and Mohsin Charania, have done it in less than two weeks.
Poker coach Chance Kornuth had a big lead but was unlucky heads-up to be dealt AJ against AQ and then TT against QQ.

No bracelet for Hellmuth. Or Glaser. Or ODB, who was second.
Gola's previous deep runs have mostly been in HORSE or 8-Game, so a Razz win is not a surprise.
Mixed-game winners' photos are populated by quite a different set than your standard shot of overbearing NL whizz-kids in baseball caps and hoodies. Apart from Shack-Harrris, Gola's supporters look like accountants on holiday, which they may well be, as he still works as an IT Manager.

It's not that they didn't play the online. Lots of well-knwon players cashed in it, including Vinny Pahuja, Stanley Lee, Jim Collopy, Harry Lodge, Kyle Julius, Alex Foxen, Jason Wheeler, Leif Force, Bernardo Da Silveira Dias, Dutch Boyd, Nam Le and Allan Le. They may not be at the top level of global recognition, but those are some very talented players, including a few bracelet-holders. We just didn't have them.
