Loren Klein equalled a WSOP record with this win, but really he should stand on his own. He has won tournaments in four successive years, which hadn't been done since the 1970s and, even then, was only achieved twice. Billy Boyd and Doyle Brunson only had to beat a couple of dozen or fewer opponents - both won tournaments with single-digit fields. In contrast, the tournaments Klein has won have had 919, 870, 476 and 218 entrants.
Congrats, too, to MAGA-supporter Karen for seeing what others missed.

Asi Moshe does it again, winning his third bracelet, becoming Israel's second most successful poker player, after Eli Elezra.
Congrats to Drew.

Well that's changed things. Chidwick finally turned up - and won the first tournament he played. Lots of people have him, and had been disappointed by his no-show, so this will brighten them up. Despite all his success, this is his first bracelet. This has been a recurring theme this year - players who have come very close numerous times in previous years finally getting home.
It was quite a tough final table. Along with Seidel, Mizrachi and Chid, there was Alex Epstein, who had his first ever WSOP cash when he won Event#8, going for a second bracelet, and Matthew Gonzales, who final-tabled the $10k HORSE last week. And then there was James Chen, heads-up against Chidwick. You may not be familiar with Chen, but he has finalled here before and has a string of top results from Asia, including winning the APPT Macau High Roller three times.
So many selectors have Chidders on their team that the competition opens up now that he is firing, especially now Hennigan is at it too. Many of those currently in mid-table or worse could shoot up the scoreboard in coming tournaments, while those who have shone so far may find that their players no longer have as clear a run. This competition just got a whole lot more interesting.

Quite a few New Jersey players in this, including the top two, clearly mostly playing at home. There have been four online events so far and there seem to be a few online specialists - for example, three of the winners have cashed in at least one of the other onlines (the other winner was Upeshka De Silva, who has been a bit busy elsewhere). The best performance has probably been by Chris Johnson, who was 7th in #38 and 3rd in #46, as well as clocking up four live cashes.

Luke Schwartz won his first bracelet against a star-studded field and managed to get through his interviews without insulting any of the other players.
Jordan got the most points again. Yueqi has done well for him.
