Call or Fold?
noble1:
again i wish to point out that any SUCCESSFUL pro in high buy in mtts would fold in this situation in the early part .. Yes you see this sort of thing in micro mtts and a big mistake a lot of players make at this level is they call to much and dont fold enough [they are not thinking players].
The best way to accumulate chips in mtts is position and good decision making post flop and to take advantage of the weak players.
Survival and patience of a god are key concepts in mtt strategy,if you are going to take 57/43 edges this early [1ST LEVEL] it says a lot about your character and i dare say you will leak chips like a sieve gambling for your tourny life one to many times.
LEARN TO FOLD.

Thanks for doing this. My question is how early in a tournament are you ( when you are 100% sure that it is a coinflip) willing to put it all in for a coin flip?
Say the hypothetical is that you are in the first level of the tournament you are in the bb and you have queens, it folds round to the sb and goes all in and even announces to you they have AK ( which they do) , do you push with them? or you "wait and look for a better spot"
Does this situation change whether it be live or online?
Thanks and appreciate the reply.

Fold, the difference in a 20k to 40k stack isn"t much at the start of a tournament. I"m more apt to flip online (though I"d still fold in your hypothetical) simply because the structure"s aren"t as good
I"m more apt to put myself in a position to gamble if stacks are shallower.
Asking if you"d take a guarantee coinflip early in a tournament is like asking if you"d like your edge removed - but there are many situations where you can show a profit by inducing folds, get AIPF with dead money in the pot against a weak range that you"ll likely be dominating (but sometimes still be flipping), etc.
