I don"t need to, I"m a pillar of the community, my word is my bond etc.

I"ll just use the high regard I"m held in to assume people will just trust me when I say that it was all done on the 1st.

obv. if I play the tournament I will probably win them (maybe come in the top 3 on a  bad day). That will mean a late night and I need my beauty sleep.

Get a grip.  Going to bed at 9pm is plenty early enough for you.
