Weekend Play - 17th & 18th January

<< < (20/21) > >>

CrizzyConnor:
I"m a late starter, just started on pokerstars:

$10k Guarenteed $10 (1 Rebuy & 1 Add-on)
$5 Pot Limit Omaha tourney - Out when my "nut"-flush went up against straight flush, standard Omaha - why aren"t there more Omaha tourneys! Arrggghh, one every hour doesn"t quench my thirst!

Still browsing to see what else is going on and waiting for couple of games to start on Full Tilt...

duke3016:
still in by the skin of my teeth

blinds after the break 3k/6k ante 750

I have 61k -- borderline tilt in my humble opinion 89 runner left

duke3016:
out in 61st -- $51.84 -- rode my luck a few times so no problem there

CrizzyConnor:
Out of Pokerstars $10k guarenteed (1 Rebuy + 1 Add-on) in 175th place - I had 8bbs left in BB with Pocket 9"s ... one limper in the pot and I push when it gets round to me - of course he has JJ - around 1,000 runners & top 108 pays  :(

Full Tilt $24 + 4 PLO Tourney - Out in 52nd from nearly 250 runners - top 27 pay  >:( I am shortstacked and go all in with two pair and straight draw only for the guy with an overpair to call and the board to pair on river to give him bigger two pair  >:( - It"s PLO ffs and they still think an overpair to the board is the nuts!!!

$5 PLO Tourney on Full Tilt - blinds 25/50 stacks 3k a piece guy pots and I re-pot to 1,000 guy calls. Flop has two hearts on it but no connectors, guy checks and I stick in rest of my chips with AAKJ as he"s been playing quite passively on flop and he calls with Q972, he has nothing except 9 high flush draw which of course hits on the river, I can"t do anything but laugh at it I guess, idiot players... 50p in the post!

And before you refer to my "they think an overpair is the nuts" comment from the other PLO tourney - there"s a difference between pushing against a passive player with it than calling off your chips with it...  ;)

CrizzyConnor:
Couldn"t sleep so fired up another PLO tourney on Full Tilt @ 5am with $50+5 buy in, thought it wouldn"t take too long cuz there were only 40-odd players registered (45 were the final numbers for the tourney), but here we are 4 hours later and that"s me just finished the last game of my weekend session...

Thankfully it helped me end the weekend in profit as I managed to take 4th for $258!!!

I pushed with middle set and nut flush draw... big stack called with top set and it held. Really don"t mind going out to a decent hand, NH GG WP...  :)

I know people always say it"s a load of ******** but when it comes to PLO it definitely pays to play higher buy ins with people who know what they"re doing... sick of idiot play in the lower buy ins. Wish my bankroll could withstand these levels all the time...
