Vegas, Poker, my family, and random other stuff.

SirPercival:
I"ve concluded that I"m generally rubbish at blogging. I don"t do it regularly enough, I jump from one subject to another, and I don"t write particularly well.

However I think I need to get more down on here for the record as I have loads of things buzzing around in my head and perhaps writing them down will ease the burden on my poor brain.

Vegas this year was awesome. as anyone who has read this blog before will know, it was my 7th trip, the 2nd with the missus and my 1st with any sort of group.

Highlights I may or may not blog about include:

Poker: The softest games ever. I hit 2 final tables (Venetian and Wynn) but with a slightly better run good could easily have won both

The Venetian: Simply awesome. Worth every penny (and at sub £500 for the week I didn"t think it was expensive)

The Food: I didn"t do the burgers and beer thing, I went out of my way to find some reasonably priced quality restaurants and I"m glad I did.

The Company: Mainly in the compnay of Brendan, his wife Trisha, Andy and Debs, and on occasion some other APAT"ers, and enjoyed every minute of it.

The Wedding: Has to be the funniest ceremony I"ve ever attended and really enjoyed the JAPAT (although I have been told off for,  in the first few hands, not taking all the chips off the guy at my starting table who had never played before) I"m just too nice!

Pai Gow: OMG!

Shopping: I didn"t do any!

You fell for that old chestnut  ;)

Sunday night I did the same in Manchester, but only coz the guy dwelt for aaaaaaaaages and everyone else was already away for their break. I gave up, told the guy I had the straight and just wanted to get at least 5 minutes of the break. Seriously ridiculous, it was 8 minutes total and only for a bet of 200 into a 350 pot FFS  :D  :D  :D

Andy would"ve been proud of this guy  :D He did that above on the turn with a 5 in his hand on a 3/4/5/8 board. I had A2, showed it to Chas who was standing behind me and told Chas to confirm to the guy that I had a straight. It was so bad lol
