Tales of the Honeybadger
Honeybadg:
Looked to qualify for the Betfair $20k g"tee.
2.5 qualifiers ... out in fifth ... money in with top pair ... un-ace spikes the river. (-$21)
Played some cash - no cards - up and down - marginal calls going the wrong way (-$105)
Bought into the $20k direct for $109.
RT +$2,525 plus any winnings.
Tough few days in terms of late beats.
L
Honeybadg:
1st Break
62nd of 110 from 167 - 18 paid.
Nothing really happening - few playable hands.
KK - UTG - Standard Raise - no action.
Just thinking back to how bad a call and outdraw I suffered earlier.
KK called by KTs for all his chips.
L
Honeybadg:
Break 2
The return of the Kings.
Standard re-raise with KK - two callers.
Flop Kxx all Hearts ...
I move all in ... called by 68 Hearts ... but the board pairs to move me to 23rd of 44 with 18 paid.
Feels like I am surfacing a giant variance curve at the moment ... up and down but the skill is drowned by the variance.
It"s a weird feeling - all you can try to do is get the money in good - thereafter anything can happen!
Let"s see if the luck holds?

Honeybadg:
Out in 42nd.
QQ vs TT to go third.
Sigh.
RT+$2,525.

Honeybadg:
Bad Beats are bad enough but when they are on the back of bad calls they leave me quite dazed.
I came 10th of 21 in the International Club £200 Freeze Out Tonight - albeit I sold 25% of myself.
Played well through the first 100 mins to reach 16,000 (starting at 10k) only one runner eliminated at this stage.
Card dead for the next 100 mins but stole enough to survive.
With the blinds biting I got doubled up with QQ calling an A4 push.
Blinds 800/1600 Ante 200 - I now have 14,400 chips.
UTG raised to 4500 - we are 5 handed at this point.
I go all in for 14,400 with AJ
9,900 to call ... monster dwell before calling and flipping QJ ... flop is QJx ...
I would have moved to 32,200 of the 210,000 chips in play ... great shout of the money ... top 4 paid ... but not to be.
Some very funny chat at the table with regards to a player who ripped up someone else"s cards in retaliation for mucking their hand in an event in Vegas ... he ripped them up mid hand ... and they were declared dead. The ripped up cards made a set of fives.
There is something of the hero in this ... and something of the villain ...
Champions League on in the background .... free beer ... a decent night.
RT +$2,250.
Feels like the RT should be more ... might take a few days off ...
