What stakes??

You can use PokerTracker or Poker Office. Well worth getting.
Also, a lot of people (including me) keep a poker diary of all their sessions (a spreadsheet or one of the many online ones that are available). Means you know exactly what you"re doing - if you"re winning or losing, and which games are most profitable for you, etc.

A slight twist if I may to this subject.....I have no particular record of my playing stats, per say...What is the best way to gather these vital stats. You all seem very precise (82% etc,) so I presume there is software out there to get my hands on.

There is software out there like Dan says, but I have a very detailed Excel spreadsheet that I use. My wife"s jaw dropped when she saw my record keeping - not surprising conidering I don"t usually open my bank statements for several months!!!!

Since I have been going through this bad run I have stopped recording my results as I thought it was distracting me from my game.

I keep another record of events and it breaks down as:
43% bottled alcohol (either beer or wine)
23% draught
18% top shelf (ie Rum,whiskey etc)
16% Black hole (can"t recall)
so my point is I must get out more or drink less (no contest)

Have you got special software to record that info? :)
Personally I think you"re stats for the top shelf spirits are lagging behind a bit - you should do something about that. :)
