Luky and Chip build a bankroll
Chipaccrual:
And I"m out. Went card dead and down to 7k.
Blinds at 400/800/100
UTG raises to 2.2k, folds round to me in big blind with QQ. I shove all-in.
He ponders and makes the call for just over half his stack and flips AT.
An ace on the turn (two players said they folded aces) and I"m done for.
I would say, typical skypoker player call (A phrase I have heard a lot today), but I"ll just put it down to my run of variance.
Plenty of APATers still going strong.

UL Leigh...
Having played a couple of the Sky events I"m not surprised by the number of "typical Sky Poker call" comments....

So, in the cold light of day, yesterday was another good day of poker.
The SkyPoker event was scattered with a mixture of internet novices, regular live players and pro"s. It made for some very lively plays and the strangest of all-in calls early on in the tournament.
For the first few hours, every all-in was being called and then commentated on by either Tikay or Simon Trumper. And trust me, some of them were causing many a shake of heads and bemusement. Tikay even reminded everyone a few times that it was a two day event.
Day two has a strong field still in, with a splattering of APATers who potentially could take this down.
I am still pomdering my demise yesterday. I played looser than normal to start with, but couldn"t get above the 15k mark. Having moved tables I ended up with Brian Yates to my right and Bruce Shannon to his right. It wasn"t a great siutuation for me and between the two of them, they raised most pots and left me in a difficult position to make a move.
Brian assures me he had hands most of the time, but he was steamrolling the table at times.
So, my out hand continues my 2009 live trend. I"ve been working it back this year and every time my chips are in the middle for my tourney life, I have lost the showdown, and that is nearly ten tournaments now. It doesn"t matter whether I am ahead, behind, racing, I never seem to get that double up chance to then push on. (And normally, it isn"t even at a point where I am blinding out).
QQ v AT
AK v 99
AJ v KJ
KK v AK
AA v 99
88 v AA
To name but a few.
A break from live poker for a bit, next stop Edinburgh, and perhaps via Chezger. ;)
