I was under the impression that the top 8 in the sats would gain automatic entry with the £75 entry being paid directly from the casino to APAT's coffers. The balance of the entry money (£20x80 - £75x8) then being paid out directly to those

I"m sure that the Casino wouldn"t be permitted to keep any money (even temporarily) especially as the qualifying Regional casino and the National Casino won"t be the same (albeit part of the same group).

You don"t win a seat as such, you win a guarantee of a seat....soooo...my guess is that you will be paid out in full but the casino will take your name, pass it on to APAT who will then contact you regarding whether you want the seat and supply you with a payment link if required.

Agreed.  That makes the most sense and is the easiest to implement.

That"s quite possible too!

IIRC, when the live satellite for the Scottish Championship took place, the casino did indeed keep the £75 entry fee and the remainder was dished out to the qualifiers.  So the casino passed the entry fees to APAT, and the qualifiers did not have to pay.

But was this played at the same venue as the Scottish Championship?

Either way..and I"m sure we"ll find out in due course, I"d prefer to make the payment PERSONALLY, just in case plans change.

Why don"t we all just sit patiently and wait for the official line, that would be easier than predicting and worrying about registering etc wouldn"t it??  ::)

It would be a bit like waiting for the right cards  :as: ah before you go all in ;D
