SCOTLAND - European Team Championships 2009
SirPercival:
As said elsewhere on this forum I have the great honour of being captain of the Scottish team once again this year.
Although the event does not take place until November I have had a number of PM"s thus far asking me to consider people for the team. Unfortunatly, I can only pick 4 players so is it inevitable that there will be a number of people who will be disappointed at my decision. What I would say to them is that the individual European Championship follows the Team event so why not get your place secured and come down a couple of days early to support your fellow Scots. One thing is certain, you will have good time!
If you wish to be considered to play in the event please PM me and/or post here and I will be sure to add you to my ever growing list of possibilities.
Many factors will be taken into account and it is not a requirement to post here to be selected. In fact I would prefer, if you can, that you introduce yourself to me at an APAT event (I hope to play them all!).
APAT Rankings (from all seasons) will be considered in the selection process as will performances at other events, both live and online. I will only consider APAT members, but being non-active on this forum, or for example not being able to play certain APAT events, will NOT count against you. Similarly, you don"t HAVE to be able to drink 10 pints and 10 shots each night in order to be picked ;D.
Even if you aren"t able to play this year, or feel your results don"t justify selection, please post your support to the team both here and during the event in November.
To finish, can I remind all readers that Scotland were 2nd last year to the (luck of the...) Irish with a very strong German team in 3rd.
HaworthBantam:
Don"t pick me , but hopefully I"ll be there giving the team my full support as last year.
Come on the Scots......
MAIR:
"Mon the Scots!
Doubt I will get picked this year, lots of Scot"s doing well in the last few years, alas i hope I do well in Edinburgh (How cool would that be hometown n all that LOL) to at least have a chance of consideration ;)
Honeybadg:
Come on SCOTLAND!
I would love to be picked - but recognise I have a lot to do to get anywhere near the team this year.
I am playing in Scotland and the World Events - so I will get my cannons out.
Whoever plays - let"s go one better this year.
Louis
HaworthBantam:
