My Bad Beat
MintTrav:
Thought I"d share my bad beat in the Maybury"s own tournament on Sunday night as I don"t think I mentioned it to anyone at the time.
Me KT. Flop AQJ rainbow. I"d been playing a little loose so thought I could get paid by playing it strong when I had a good hand. Anyway we ended up all-in on the flop, my straight against his top pair A2 - game over.
Or not - Turn Q, River Q = full house for him.
I"m starting to wonder if maybe luck does play a role in poker after all.

I only saw you for a few minutes on sunday, John, but that was plenty of time for you to share that little beauty

Call that a "Bad Beat"?
Tis nothing when compared to what happened to my ex mate Darren.
He grew up with a great sense of pride and self being English through and through, then one day due his father working on the family tree he finds out his great-great-great-grand parents were bloody French ! !
Poor ******* never recovered and I never spoke to him again, I felt betrayed.
AMRN:
jeez john - A2?? that hurts!!
still gonna cast you 50p though
Bainn:
Typical, no consideration for my suffering.
