Nudgers and Nurdlers ...
Honeybadg:
... who are the greatest Nudgers and Nurdlers of all time?
Can you have players who are pure Nudgers or Nurdlers?
I propose Jack Russell as the No 1. Nurdler.

AMRN:
Graham Thorpe - quality batsman who could adapt to any stage of a game.... but I always remember him as an exellent nurdler who could keep the strike rotating and the scoreboard ticking over.

Thorpey like Michael Bevan was a great finisher and rotator of strike, but I would suggest both players were far to classy to be called a Nudger or Nurdler. Probably the best I saw, and actually had the priviledge of playing against in the twilight of his career, was "Little" Harry Pilling of Lancashire. And other than that Pilky ex opening batsman for Baxenden CC ! :D

Neil Fairbrother for me was a great nurdler, not the class of Thorpe, but superb at picking up runs without scoring a huge number of boundaries. One of the reasons he was such a great one day player.
Honeybadg:
... what about the best Nudger?
