Welsh National 2010- Aspers Swansea
CrizzyConnor:
The Sunday games were concieved as something for APATers to do on the Sunday were they not? I have differing opinions to you but it doesn"t really matter anyway. As far as i"m concerned the card room is being compensated by our wonderful sponsors, it is therefore their responsibility to inform their regular players that they should sign up in advance or make room for other tournaments for them. Don"t get me wrong I had good fun playing with the locals in Walsall and i"m not oppossed to these players being involved, even a few seats being kept aside for live satellites for the local players being inconvenienced at each venue like Sky Poker are doing on their tour, I just think there should be some sort of procedure to join.
AJDUK:
I agree - a procedure is a necessity.
My procedure would involve reserving an equal number of seats for APAT players as locals to register into, until a certain time when it becomes open to all.

Don"t think this makes sense really with the intention that the Sunday games were started with but i"ll agree to disagree.
AJDUK:
It was to give busto"s something to do on the Sunday I know that - but this does take even more resource away from the locals so it makes sense to think about them too. I"m not saying my idea is any good or anything but do feel we shouldn"t get too possessive about these tourney"s.
SirPercival:
AFAIK if a local turns up and registers then he/she is then an APAT member. The whole ethos as I understand it is that APAT is open to all. (except pros - but that"s another debate)
