Worst/Unlucky hands
lukybugur:
Just thought I"d post details of the final hand at last night"s home game. Although not following on in the context of the posts before it, it falls in the "Unlucky Hand" category ...
Let me say now though that it is in no way a bad beat story and that you need to play in this crowd to comprehend how loose the game is. 80% of hands go to the river!
Anyway ...
Blinds are up to £1/£2, it"s 01:25 and we"ve agreed on a 1:30 finish. A frighteningly loose game as always with PO the main fish - he"s flung four £20 notes across the table tonight, has managed to get back up to £50 by rivering a 2 outer in the hand before in this and has drank enough whisky to kill a lesser man!
PO £50ish in chips
ND £35 in chips
ET £35 in chips
PO raises pre-flop to £5. I call as does ET. SB and BB fold (claiming 83o and 92o)
Flop comes 7s qh qd
PO bets out £5, I call with kc 7c , ET calls.
Turn is kd
PO bets out £5, I tentatively call with my two pair (scared ET has a Q) , ET calls.
River is 7h (FULL HOUSE! - AWESOME!)
PO bets £10, I call £10, ET shoves all in, PO calls (no surprise) and I cannot bring myself to fold my last £15. All-In matched!
Amazed at the size of this pot (more than at 3 of the 5 left being All-In on the last hand - nothing new), we agree to show together ...
I turn up my kc 7c (FULL HOUSE!) 7h 7s 7c kc kd
ET turns qc 9d (a bigger FULL HOUSE!!) qh qd qc 7s 7h
PO turns qs kh (a BIGGER FULL HOUSE!!!) qh qd qs kh kd
PO rakes in the £105 pot as everyone just sits with mouths gaping!!!
As I said before, this is not a bad beat story! I realise that there was always a danger ET had a Q. Him having AA or even 22 wasn"t out the question either though! The call on the end was £15 into a pot of £90 - having invested so much already I was never gonna fold it!
GL TO ALL IN WALSALL THIS WEEKEND! Especially xxMairxx , Geo , BigKhuna , Zanshin and all other Edinburgh qualifiers.

Not really a bad beat story but.....
The last three tournaments I"ve played in I"ve gone out after being forced all-in with pocket Jacks....
First time I was beaten strait by pocket queens, second time beaten by another players pocket kings and third time was beaten by a player going all-in with A Q and hitting both cards......
I think I"m just going to bin those Jacks in future.....

I"m with you on that! APAT Edinburgh 6th Oct my JJ lost out to ATo. Even though SB folded ATo too, he caught a T on flop and A on turn (two of his 4 outs).
And ... as I type this ... I"ve just lost $40 with J9s on a Q9Q9J board to QTo. I"m just gonna bin ANY hand with a J in it from now on!!!

Any variation of :as: qd, whether I"m holding it or against it, anyone on my table in the Welsh Open Online tonight may well know why. I had it four times with three losses and one split pot before shedding 9000 chips to it after my A, 8, flopped A, K, 8 , my all in re-raise was called, to my delight I didn"t see AA, KK, 88, or AK, no I saw AQ, then on the turn came the king, AAAaaaaaargh!!!!!!!! AQ is now my new JJ.
