Another bunch of APAT experiences................Alan Lake"s loose aggressive maniac style on my first (and only) table. Very entertaining to watch if you"re not on the receiving end. I can see how he builds some big stacks................. playing alongside Jack Prime for my entire tournament, but not his (well done Jack).................playing cash against the locals who made Alan look tight - eg bet £50 PF UTG, folded around, win £2 and show Q4; eg2 Flop 779, WASP bets £5, I call with K9, local raises all-in for £90, WASP calls with T7, I fold, local shows K2...................the bra that ended up in the room Dave Green, Colin O"P & I were sharing.................Dave being rubbed down by the dealer for folding double-suited Kings preflop but then winning the Omaha (almost the dream final with Colin coming 3rd).................... playing limit (not pot-limit) Omaha high-low for a couple of hours with Leigh W, Paul McG, Colin O"P, Dave G, Brendan B and Dai who came second in the PLO with Dave raising/reraising every street without looking at his cards and showing down the best hand nearly every time. Even when Brendan scooped a big pot with A4 on a 235xx board, Dave turned over his cards and found A4 to split the scoop............. putting the cards away and discovering the A of Spades had been in the box all the time and we had played with 51 cards.................breakfast on Paul McG today after he had made a quick bet passing the roulette table and won £175................
A few of the regulars were missed though, both for the craic and in the overall standard of play. I hope a venue with greater capacity is found for next year.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat ?
That explains why I only ended up £10 good on the session. And I tipped the dealer £3 even though he gave me verbal abuse constantly. ;) Typical Amateurs. ;D

Well, excellent inaugural Apat/Betfair T.V. weekend. The spirit was once again spectacular, flippant very very Funny ;D
Congrats to The Mole and Eck, heads up from heaven :o
Massive well overdue congratulations to a fabulous guy Dave(Allinbob)/(do you know what i folded there?) Green for taking down the Omaha, v Another cracking Lad Dai Llewelyn, who himself saved a bloodbath of a heads up battle by knocking out Brendan, yet another......... oh sod it there all good lads, in third spot.
Congratulations and very well played To Gareth, Karl and Jack. Really enjoyed playing at your table. Special mention to Martin who bubbled the medals, very unlucky as he had shown the aggression and knowledge to take the table initiative, extremely unlucky on your exit hand. WP.
Good F.T. Darren a threat as always, Bob also even as a short stack, and sitting to my right was not a welcome sight.
No, he"s not ugly, he"s gooooood. :D Martin(Wilson), Andy and Mathew i didn"t know too much about, but obviously all played very well and congrats on F.T"ing.
Excellent work From Des, Richard and Leigh, very well played to the Tower and co, long day lads w.p. I wasn"t trying to damage your lead lead really, I am a spark :D
Maylis, what can you say about Maylis? Well having been knocked off the Final Table, it"s not a nice feeling and then Your faced with this vision of just how poker should be ::). It may not have looked so, but i was smiling inside, she did a very good job, and eased the pain. Thank You :)
The casino i felt very comfortable in, the surroundings and atmosphere were so pleasant, and staff were excellent towards us Apaters anyway. The food was of a high standard, so happy on that score.
Now then, the weekend moments?? I also witnessed the man out of his wheelchair, with an egg sized lump on his head.
Once re-seated he continued to try to climb the walls, i think alchohol had destroyed his memory and his cognition for the reason that there was actually a wheelchair there. If only the camera"s were there, a definite £250 payday :D
Funny Comments far too numerous to mention. Returning to Premiere inn Sat/Sun A.m. Only 100 yards, through Girls too drunk in Shoes far too high to stand in, let alone walk while Pmissed. As Rudders, Jack and i turned the bend, only to see blue flashing lights and over a dozen of Our boys in blue at our Hotel.NNNoooooooooooooooooo!!!!
Turned out it was all over, but that thought of not getting to bed :(
I called a short stack all in, on the F.T. bubble. Only to find that the dealer had miscalled the chip requirement to make the call. Having already bet and getting 3-1 i called. It wasn"t 17k more to call it was 40k :-[ That"ll teach me not to trust dealer and take ownership myself.
Omaha Hilo limit 51 cards, no :as: was Absolutely F#@king Hilarious. Funnily enough it comprised of all your manic players. All Irish and Welsh as it happens : ;D The comments, jokes and Mick-taking you just had to be there. Dave green hadn"t yet realised he had actually won the omaha tourney. Proof, he stated pot, no not on every hand, but on every street, at least twice. This he was doing blind and came out a big winner. Table anti clockwise Dealr(me), Allinbob, Brendan, Dai Llewelyn, Colin, John and Team Leigh. Obviously hilo was too difficult for our champion Apater, he needed to recruit the help of the M.E. f.t.ers, when we asked him to put 4 bb"s in, Leigh looked shocked and very hurt, so we just let him continue. Didn"t want to see a grown man cry. Fair do"s he tipped me £3 afterwards even though i was harsh with him, (Don"t get the chance very often in all Honesty). He did win £10 on the session though, we love you really Leigh :-*
Great to see old faces again, and some new ones. Good old laugh with the brummies (bcpcdvdtcvdict)poker club. :D
That bloke from the midlands, somewhere? he kept following me and going on about a bronze medal. I thought he thought he was in Chester, looking for roman titbits. Turns out, so his helper in the wheelchair told me, it was a bronze medal won in some Apat stud competition. If anyone knows his identity please let me know, he dropped a £25 chip into my drink. 20% to person who identifies him.
Great big Thank You for all the support, both at the venue and all online, it really does make it all the more worthwhile.
Thanks again, and hope to c u all again soon
Cheers
Paul Mac

Hi eddie i"ve sent you a pm, sory to jump on this, but i would like a seat for London. Is it for sale, if so i would like to buy it from you if possible? Sorry you can"t make it yourself.
Cheers Paul M
PantsMan:
First time i"ve met you Paul but it was a pleasure. Great laugh and a great player, and you very kindly picked up AK when i picked up Aces on the short stack. :D
You got your own back by knocking me out though.
Shame you didn"t win but i"m sure we"ll see you go deep again (as the actress said to the bishop).
Hope you can get a seat for London, be good to see you again and hopefully meet you on the final table!
