I couldn"t believe you all left (you could have let yourselves get blinded away for the first level). I had a train booked and was thinking of just buying a new ticket and staying. He had a £300 stack when I went as well, although I"m sure he managed to lose it all.

Rodders - I can"t put a face to your name.... which seat did you have at that table?

I started off sat to the right of the guy who was calling everything and stacking off with everything then rebuying. When you all left I took Gareths seat so I had position on the guy. It still didn"t work, the only time I hit a hand against him he folded :-)

Excellent weekend - yet again the structure of the Main Event shines through plenty of room for some creative plays with  97 suited, sometimes those hands like that can crack  aces (Sorry Brian  ;) ). No complaints of my exit got too busy with QQ and lost a race. This did give me time to try out the "Frank Scoblete Super System" at the craps table, for those interested its a long winded "Do/Dont" strategy with occasional odds. Its fair to say it drove the dealers mad! On the fantastic statistical sample of 1 it sure works well! (Thanks to the brothers Willaims for the rail)!

Thanks to some hard earned Hilton honors points had a restful night and pleasant GrandPrix watching session, then off to the Vic for some early morning Cash action. Just two games going £1/£1 (deep stacked one guy £800) and an invitation to join a small £5-£10 err no thanks (BTW one guy had £50K stack I kid you not). Steady start at the wee table, did well not to get felted when my 7"sFull of 9"s was looking a looser I did put him on a nine but not two of them, some how folded! Steve joined and we seemed to aviod any nasty accidents. Then the chap below joined!

Another great weekend. Fantastic result John. Had to come eventually and great to see you take it down.

Many thanks to all at APAT for making these events better each time. Can"t wait for the next one.

Many thanks to all of you for leaving a seat free for me on that table. £300 profit in 30 minutes. That guy was the best ATM i"ve ever played against. I"m all in, insta-call. Ooops, what you got. J-5 for third pair. Oh, i"ve got pocket aces, i think i win.  :)  I was ready to offer to lend him some money when he finally left!

He was literally throwing his money away happy days! I was literally in every pot as the implied odds of hitting a pair draw were simply too high. I did make a few embarrasing mistakes against him, raising with  :2d: 7d on the Btn some how I end up betting £12 into a small pot on the river and getting called, Steve nearly fell off his chair laughing rightly so! I was able to profit though and got myself unstuck from £200 in the hole so that felt good.

Razz was excellent fun and a great addition to the weekend schedule, sorry I couldnt fold any hands before 5th street!

All in all a great weekend, well done to John and Don who I shared a table with.

Special thanks to all the folks who make it happen at APAT simply the smoothest run event ever, time after time after time.....

Good to see you at the weekend Steve.

I think we can safely say Kitty Lea has vastly increased her poker knowledge having been sat next to you for quite a few hours on Saturday.

I"m sure she is destined for poker stardom now.   ;D
