I thought I was all in pre-flop

It (incorrectly) said AIPF on this thread, but if you had watched the live feed instead of reading about it second-hand you"d know what had happened.

There was definitely action post flop.

There were so many great players but for me, Alan Lake was the stand-out player of the tournament, while Perry was a revelation.

Aww, shuks lol.

Thanks for that John. While I was playing I thought it was you or Alan who was going to win it. Alan"s game stunned even me, I thought I was hyper-aggressive, I either have to drop to just loose-aggressive, or we have to come up with a new title for Alan. Three times we went all-in against each other, when I was out by the third, I was shocked, not just he had AK, but that I actually shoved him with AQ, we both had actual hands!.

AK vs QQ. For both of us that was make-or-break. It was almost an insta-call, I did ask for a count lol. From the previous hands we played, I knew you weren"t messing around, there was a part of me that worried about KK or AA, but the chips and stack in the pot meant I was only -EV against AA and the flat-payout was another factor.

I wanted to stay and watch, but my girlfriend"s church service had finished so I thought I would go and meet her. I couldn"t believe Alan didn"t go heads-up. Well done on winning the tournament, you deserved it.

Don"t know when I am going to play another, but I hope I see you and Alan there.

Thanks for that Leigh I would have thought that"s how I would have played it getting all in on a low flop after no raise pre but when I saw that post I had it in my head that we were all in pre flop must admit it all happened so fast was a bit of a blurr. I did watch the live feed I was there that"s what worries me lol. ;D

Em, I think there was a raise pre-flop Don. I think you raised on the button & I flat-called. Leigh, could you play the recording and tell us what we did?

Hammerite:
There is no tape John. I think what you say is right I raised you flat called, I then have it in my head that I reraise all in and you call but that is wrong. Obviously the flop came and i went all in and you called. And that"s the end of the story and the morale is never trust everything you read in the press.  ;D  Soz mate.
