Useful stuff, Paulie!
I finally got round to booking a hotel for Luton this morning. I was about to book one of Paulie"s choices, but then had a look at a map and found that these two hotels are the other side of the train station, so the casino is between these hotels and the station.
For those of you coming by train, I"ve just booked the easyhotel which is right by the station, and probably still closer to the casino than the two that Paulie has suggested above.
It cost me £56, which seemed fine, but then I realised it was £56 for two nights! It will be pretty basic, but then I won"t be in the room much, hopefully! Everything is extra (£5 for a TV remote!), but it will be clean and very convenient.
Hope that helps!

Thanks...added to the list above for those that are interested.

Added the Menzies Strathmore to the hotel list (ex-Thistle)

I stayed at the Easyhotel once, never again. I cannot advise strongly enough against staying there. It might seem cheap, but all the other hotels listed are MUCH better value for money.
