Amsterdam Master Classics Final Table

<< < (16/31) > >>

danafish:
Mr Michael Martin is a big, fat card rack. That"s exactly what he is. Twice today now someone has open-shoved, only for Mr Martin to look down and find Aces.

This time it was crippled Micke Norinder. His open-shoving hand of choice turned out to be  qs kd to Michael"s  ah ac. He was putting his coat on even before the first flop card came out of the deck.

Board -  ad 7d :2s: qc and actually I missed the river, but it"s irrelevant because Micke was drawing dead by the turn.

So with much hugging and handshakes between Micke and Michael, Micke or maybe Mikael Norinder is OUT in 5th place winning €111,000.

Djinn:
hollandcasino.nl used the word "unstoppable"... playing well, catching cards... Michael Martin"s stealing the show here in Amsterdam.

;D

Djinn:
After that, it looks like Noah Boeken and Tristan McDonald are just taking it in turns to shove preflop and pick up the hefty 38k in blinds.  No calling as yet.

danafish:
What looked initially like it might turn into a big hand between the two chip monsters in fact turned out to be nothing nearly that exciting.

Trond raises preflop and Michael calls.

Flop -  :3h: qc ks - they both check.

Turn -  9h - they both check.

River -  jd - they both go all in! No they don"t, they check.

Can"t see any cards, but Trond shows something and wins, and Michael mucks.

Djinn:
As perhaps expected, short stacked Noah Boeken shoves on the small blind when it folds to him once again, and with just under 300k Michael Martin on the big blind eventually makes the call with  kc 9h.  He happens to be in fantastic shape against Noah"s  9s 7s, but you wouldn"t know it from the grim expressions on both their faces as the board cards are dealt:
:3s: 4c 6h ...  jd ...  :3d:

So Noah Boeken is OUT in 4th place, winning €139,000
