Fatcatstu:
So!! Time to put this blog to some use I think.

I have been playing Omaha cash online as the main thing I do now for a few months. This used to mean that  I played it on a thursday night after a night heavily on the beer and see how quickly I could burn through my bankroll!!

Recently however something has changed and I have found myself actually....winning money at it!

So. I have decided that I am primarily going to focus on Omaha micro cash from now on. To be honest it is a game I find much more stimulating than Holdem. It makes me think, I can feel myself paying more attention to what I am doing, I am trying my best to cut out horrible moves (still make plenty though) and I have recently employed Poker Tracker to help me mainly keep a closer eye on profit and losses, teh player stats are still a mystery to me at the minute!!

So, the details. This month so far looks as follows...

Hands played - 1978
VPIP - 60
PFR - 17

BB/100 - 21.5
Total Won - £128.26

This is all done from playing 0.05/0.10 PLO hi on apat.co.uk.

Now, I have litterally no idea what most of the stats i have just put up mean, but i intend to find out!!!

I will also put on here that All time (since July last year when I joined, I am  -£46.74 at Omaha, this is a stat that I am VERY interested in, and would love to turn it green as soon as possible!

Finally, before I look to see if there are any spots i think might generate good discussion, I would like to say thanks to Steve Roderick. He has sat there and listened patiently to my ramblings over facebook and is a wealth of knowledge and advice about both Holdem AND Omaha, and someone who I rate very highly, as a person and a poker player.

He has given me some great encouragement over the last couple of weeks, and i really appreciate it and will keep tapping into his Omaha knowledge to try and improve myself.

So, there we have it, an actual purpose for the blog!!!

Good idea Stu, don"t know how much help I was with PLO to be honest, I am pretty sure you are better at the game than I am.

Hope to see you keeping this updated with sessions (which reminds me I must do a post tonight when I get home). It is good for motivation and tends to keep your mind focused. I like to do at least monthly updates and more if I am playing more often than normal.

Good Luck with the PLO grind. Reckon you will do well.

Think you need to reduce the VP$IP (I know that you know this) but this game makes it easy to feel unbeatable when you are running over the table and sitting with 5 buyins in your stack. It can turn on you just as quick though. Might be worth asking a better PLO player what is a good VP$IP/PFR stat.

According to this guy from CardRunners... but looks about right to me, your VPIP should be much much lower.. but you know that already x
