technolog:
In a blatant rip-off from our Lutonian opposition, I thought it"d be nice if we knew a bit about each other. So please take the time to post a few snippets about yourself.

Personal
Jack Prime (real name Martyn but been called Jack ever since I can remember, due to looking like my Uncle Jack - he was fat & bald too)
I"m 46 years old, happily divorced with no kids but one of my former stepkids lists me as a parent on facebook - ahhhhh!
Electrician by trade but currently working as a Design Engineer in a small electrical control panel manufacturing outfit. Lost 7 stone last year and currently enjoy a lot of walking.

Here"s a pic taken at last week"s APAT WCOAP at DTD

Alias
technolog everywhere except where I feck-up. sambarnbrac on Betfair as I didn"t realise you needed separate username & screen name. technolog is the name of the make of one of my first PCs. sambarnbrac is from the names of our three gorgeous Labradors - Sam, Barney & Bracken. Miss you fellas  :-*

Poker History
I started playing after watching Hell"s Bells take second spot in Poker Million IV in 2005. I cut my teeth playing on the Poker Night Live tournies on various Microgaming sites but mainly Stan James.

A friend (spgoodman actually) mentioned the first APAT tournament at The Broadway in 2006. I was too late to reg for that but made sure I dipped my bread for the next one at Aspers Newcastle. I went up all on my ownsome and started making friends and my love affair with APAT began.

I managed to finish in the top 10 in the first season; mainly due to my online results. I did however manage to bink a bronze medal at the World OnLive tournament at The Vic. I somehow managed to finish 20th in the season 2 rankings. Season 3 didn"t see me feature at all hardly but in my defence, I was busy losing something other than chips!

Here we are half-way through season 4 and I find myself at the top of the live rankings - lol. I"m not expecting to stay there as there"s some damned good players hot on my heels and I don"t think I"ll keep dodging the bullets. But I"ve got to say; it"s nice while it lasts!

Biggest Live Cashes
About £1,200 for 3rd in Swansea this year, £1,100 for 3rd in the OnLive at The Vic and £1,000 for 3rd in Aberdeen this year. However, I think securing promotion for Notts in the last game of last season was the most excitement and fun I"ve ever had at poker table, real or virtual. I know that sounds like bulls**t but, honest, I kid you not!

duke3016:
my Bio would be pants -- but for what it is worth - you are the nicest (is that a word) person it has been my pleasure to meet - till the next time skinny man  8)

technolog:
Ger me darlin", I can only say the feeling is EXTREMELY mutual.

We should start a mutual admiration society. Or get a room. Or summat.

Waz1892:
Aspers was my first APAT!

(sorry to interrupt the love-in)  :-[ :D

duncthehat:
Jack seems all lonely being the only one to put something down so in the same format here goes:

Personal:

Richard Duncan Hodgkins (dropped Richard nearly 30 years ago, the only people that call me that are my mum brother the taxman and dusk till dawn!!!)  met my Dutch wife Wilma in Holland in 1989 whilst still in the Army.  Left the forces in 92 and have worked for myself as an Antiques and Collectables dealer ever since (Thank **** for ebay)

Alias

Duncthehat on most, Dunc667 on betfair.   Nickname came from the auction circuit as i tend to always have a baseball cap on.  (its with dunc in the hat)

I only get to play poker live these days apart from the local pub circuit maybe once a month twice a month at most.  I initially got into poker in the late 80s early 90s playing in a dingy dodgy back room of a casino in Germany with Germans and Chinese for cash.  The game was mostly variants of stud and draw.   Won and lost god knows how much, way more than i would want to gamble with now thats for sure and mostly lost!!

Started playing again online after moneymakers win but for very low stakes.  I play for enjoyment and recreation.  I know my limits and know my standard is actually quite poor at NL.   I consider myself to have a good Stud/Razz/Horse game mind.

enjoy sit and goes online which is certainly my forte and my sharkscope graph for pokerstars shows a steady line upwards

Apat has been perfect for me as a definite fun player I will not buy in to any event for more than £100 quid.  Been with Apat since the beginnining and made a couple of final tables in the first season finishing 7th and 8th.  since then Apat has been downhill with no other cashes live although i have made the Horse final table for the last 2 years, but still outside the money.

Had a couple of 4 figure figure cashes at dtd this year which has been nice considering the few times I play and I will certainly show a profit for 2010
