APAT Irish Amateur Poker Championships 2010: Live Update
BOINGBLITZ:
Lookin 4ward to this one more than any other, not just because I am defending the Title, but because I love Dublin and the irish people. If ever there was a tourney that you don"t mind going out early from it is this one !
Having said that, going out early is not on my agenda. Winning is !
Good Luck to all.
BCPC 4 THE WIN !!

Ah Larry Murphy"s have spent many happy days in there.Gutted i cant play this time, good luck to all.
TightEnd:
So here I sit in the Fitz.
A 4.30am start for a 6.30pm flight that I made by the skin of my teeth. Who should I run into at the airport on arrival but Jack Prime and Paul Petcher. Fancy that, three Leicester City fans, less than 12 hours after our 6-1 drubbing. No words needed to be said, a raised eyebrow or two said it all.
We shared a cab into town, they"ve gone wandering while I am getting up to speed
A text arrived from Leigh earlier to say he and John Murray are stuck together at Gatwick, plane defective. If Leigh didn"t arrive in time I would be forced to take the photos. I am not sure the APAT gallery is ready for that.
Fortunately he has just arrived
I"ll be back later with news before we start this afternoon.
TightEnd:
OK play is underway with 80 or so runners to date. Three levels before registration closes, so expect that figure to rise.
Apparently the event clashes today with a big JP Poker event here in Dublin, which is unfortunate for local player participation
However, Dublin Poker is very much spur of the moment stuff, advance planning not part of the scene...so people will no doubt come along to play a bit later
TightEnd:
Some early sights, and pics coming
Phil Tompkinson with Green hair
Gerard Smyth not drinking
APAT Champions Gareth Johns, Scott Wilson, Tim Magnus and John Murray all here
Defending Champ Brian Yates going for the double
A great chance for these players to get ranking points for the end S4 added value and CofC seat to the winner
