THE ASHES
bigredders:
That attack is still weak, its just that Siddle turned up to the party. If it wasn"t for him, they could be still batting into next week!
Easy to say now, but i think Bell should be at 5 with Colly at 6.
Pears27:
3 out of 4 bets looking in play at least, at this very early stage:
- Australia to win 3-2 @ 7/1
- Cook series top scorer @ 8/1
- Katich series top scorer @ 7/1
- Doherty series top wicket taker @ 24/1 (the wildcard bet - worth a punt if he keeps Hauritz out of the team)

I agree, a BIG missed opportunity for England. Need to get early wickets tonight.
ThinkerJE:
Great fightback by England. The Aussies looked a complete Joke in the field (although the pitch was as flat as a pancake). I cannot see how they are going to get 20 wickets to win a test match. England on the other hand (Swann apart who is due to the odd off game) bowled really well with no luck and no reward. Anderson and Broad were very unlucky not to get Hussey & Haddin on day 3 and Finn backed them up with a superb 6 wicket haul. Bring on the next test on Thursday.
COME ON ENGLAND!!!
Newportlad:
I had a little £20 bet before the 1st Test for England to win the series at 7/4.
Feeling fairly confident about this. I just cannot see how Australia are going to take 20 wickets. Very poor bowling attack.
Things couldnt have gone any better for Australia over the first 2 days, and they still couldnt get the win.
