Hammerite:
Firstly congratulations Brian on your win. Must have been that mega breakfast at Tesco"s  ;) that gave you the momentum or was it the bracing walk after a cold shower, whatever it was well played. Unlucky Darren another final table, truly outstanding.

Thanks to all the Apat & Casino staff who put on yet another memorable weekend. Hopefully see you at Bolton but if not I look forward to seeing you all again in season five.

Great to see so many Apat players who I now count as my friends, especially, The Stockton Crew, Jp, Pables, Paulie, The Gers,Scouse, Andy K, John Murray, jeldon, Steve R, Suzanne, James E, Chen,Mark L, Ant 66 (even though I did"nt actually run into him this time), well it is a big place, and anyone who knows me who I may have overlooked.

Carl & Paul absolute top gents, I guess I owe you one. As for you Lee I should have left you in the car to freeze with the lucozade.

P.S Let it be known in the unfortunate event of us having a new sponsor for season 5 my new player name will be Walter Feature. I guess I am going to get stick for a while about that one.  :-[

After 5 years of trying, I was delighted to finally make an APAT live national Final table.

I remember boasting to Ian (Pables) before the tourney started, that If I ever make a Final table, I will go on and win it. LOL

One look at the line up on that final table line up and it was a pretty obvious I had a hell of a lot to do to live up to that boast and it was no surprise that the cream rose to the top leaving me out in 7th.

Ul George and Darren for falling short. A player who has not received much credit though, was Paul Rider who finished 4th. He came to our opening table on Day 1 having clearly ran over his previous table. On his new table he had no luck whatsoever and just couldn"t get anything going. When our table broke, he was short stacked. Fair play to him for adjusting and getting back to chip leader at the end of Day 1 and looked set for a great run at the title when he was chip leader on the FT.

Special mention to Brian. He was such a deserving winner and hardly put a foot wrong. I had the privilege of playing with him (and getting continually rubbed down) for most of the tourney. I was especially impressed that he nursed his short stack on the FT for so long whilst the rest of us were getting Ko"d. He had a terrible draw with all the shorties to his right and the big stacks to his left and adjusted to the situation perfectly. Well played Fella!!

Whilst 7th was far from ideal for me, a FT was an achievement to be proud of. Thanks to Leigh, Rich, Mayliss, Jesse and Neil and the gang for all their hard work.

See you in Bolton

Excellent tournament.  Big thanks to Rich, Leigh, James, Maylis and the staff at G casino Coventry for all their hard work.  Outstanding final table, well done to all the players involved and great to see some many APAT regulars battling out for the trophy.  Well done to Brian for a great victory.

James you and your partner were excellent on the Mic, and the feed was so much more stable than usual, made for a very enjoyable viewing experience.
