Say what you like about FIFA, they"re not afraid to make it obvious they"ve been bought. 50 degree heat, no facilities at all yet in a country the size of Yorkshire - why wouldn"t you choose Qatar?

Indeed! Not exactly top notch timing that. 

Purely for selfish reasons if we"re not going to hold it though I would on balance prefer Russia to the other bids - far more interesting place to visit.

...oh and Qatar fabulous just fabulous - hey they have a F1 track...logical next step the WC
