Been decorating a freshly plastered bedroom and it"s taking forever. Dust everywhere so constantly cleaning while I work ::) Woodwork all done, bed rebuilt, 1 last coat of emulsion tomorrow then new carpet down on Thursday. All this in between working and playing poker so not enough hours in the day.
Never mind, finish everything on Thursday then off to the wonderful world of T In The Park till Monday for 3 days of liver abuse with 80,000 others, some of the best live music possible and just the most incredible atmosphere on the planet. Bring on the rain, the mud and of course the wellies and ponchos 8)

Our office IT system has decided to take annual leave today, praise the lord and hallelujah ;D

Now almost fully recovered from this year"s T In The Park, which for the most part was an endurance event of 9 hour days up to the ankles in mud, but still the best weekend of your life for the amazing music on offer and ridiculously unique comedy value (e.g. after 16 hours of rain a very large puddle pond appears in campsite.....so 2 guys plop their camping chairs right in the middle of it then sit there for a couple of hours holding fishing rods while they drink their beer :D)
There are about 10 different stages around the arena with a great variety of bands/artists, our viewing went as follows:
Friday The Jezabels; Kaiser Chiefs; Temper Trap; Florence & The Machine; Snow Patrol
Saturday: The Wailers; Django Django; Simple Minds; Benjamin Francis Leftwich; Mull Historical Society, Noel Gallagher; Stone Roses
Sunday: James Morrison; Rita Ora; Josh Osho; Spector; Keane; Elbow; Kasabian
Despite the rain and mud and my body feeling it"s full 45 years, I"m glad to say Mr Daniels and all those bands named above kept me running to the very end. Tickets already in the bag for the 20th TITP in 2013, and yes, I"ll be counting the sleeps to that one as well ;D

Cracking line ups Grant, how did you find the Stone Roses? Thought they were excellent at Heaton Park even with Ian Browns dodgy vocals as the gig progressed.. What was the crowed like as well? Myself and Kat were right at the front up against the barriers of the "cheap" area and basically had to endure :
1) Pints of pi$$ chucked all over
2) Kat going to the loo and a couple barging in to do some "lines"
3) Random kn*bheads basically wanting to get those extra few inches near the front which started with me turning round eventually to tell a couple of lads to f*ck off.. in the end I couldnt physically turn round and the general vibe of the crowd was pretty nasty... fights breaking out etc
4) Getting kicked in the head time after time by people in wellies as they got "surfed" over the barriers due to the crush
Chatting to some randoms after they said thats just a typical gig nowadays.. and yes probably being at the front wasn"t the call to be honest.. but the crowd was just full of ar$eholes :(
God I sound old :(
