Santino67:
Playing my usual Betfair $22 1500 chips 12 min levels at 11.15pm, would love to see some of you guys there if you can make it ;)

Won"t go into last night in any detail, except to say doubled up in first level with a set of 5"s and some fool thought his J/10 was good on a 10 high flop. I then got stung with pocket 8"s OOP, my raise called pre, c bet with one over K on flop, called again, blank on turn so bet again and called again then gave it up on river. Got creative a while later with 5/6 on a 2/4/J flop, checked to me and my bet called. Another 4 on turn saw villain bet out and call my raise, blank on end and this time the J/10 was actually good :D
Was downhill from there and not long before i went out my AQ being called by 44 and no help from the board. Only leaves me to say that I found myself getting sucked into the aggro of recent tables I"ve been on, possibly because I doubled my stack early, probably more likely because I lacked focus

So tomorrow will see the Cheltenham Grand Annual Drinking Handicap at Alfredo"s bar in Glasgow, to celebrate all that is good in life with some friends 8) Tonight I"ll warm up with a couple of cold cans while watching the Rangers v PSV game & simultaneously playing the Bronze Freeroll. Currently on a 15c/30c cash table and so far up to $47.
Cheltenham has been a frustrating event up till now, lots of 2nd"s 3rd"s and 4th"s and my downfall of betting to win and not each-way. Today had my bankers doubled, only £10 but Kalahari King didn"t quite make it to join Big Bucks in winners enclosure so will look forward to Gold Cup day tomorrow, win or lose always a very enjoyable time with the guys :D
Good luck to you all, whatever you"re punting on

Still in freeroll, crazy stuff lol. Currently 40th of 133 left from 804 starters. Top 90 get something, Top 20 get Betfair live sat ticket + cash
Now got Mark Porter on table with me, into last 100 now and on 10k, Mark on 5k
just ignore that, quick switcharound, mark now on 25k after AK and KK shoved, both called and held up :)
And I"m out in 76th, thankfully Mark still going along nicely with 22k.
Finally, well done to Mark, a long drawn out affair to win a $24 ticket + $3.90 but 19th out of 804 runners is very good going.

A bit of advice needed here gang on a few hands, honestly want to know if I"m doing the right thing, not a bad beat moan but obviously linked.
First hand up blinds 25/50 and I have 2.8k with qh qs. Guy in mid position with ad1 td has 1.25k chips raises to 150 preflop and i re-raise him to 600, he calls. Am I right in believing this is a dumb call, considering I"ve already answered his question and he"s only leaving himself 650 chips behind. Needless to say he hit 2 diamonds on J high flop and he now has odds to call any bet on flop so chips go in and he hits flush on river.
2nd hand need advice on blinds 60/120 I have tc ts utg so raise to 360, guy behind me min raises to 600 and button shoves for for more than my stack. I lay it down pre flop, again want to know if you"d do the same. The min raiser called the shove with 9c 9d and button flips ad1 jd. Thankfully he hit his jack but i was scratching me head at the play when I saw the cards.
Final hand I"m keen to get thoughts on, blinds 80/160 I have kc kh in cut off, EP raises to 480, another calls so i shove my remaining 1.8k. Now if you"re the guy in EP what"s your range for calling?
In addition to above have to say the table wasn"t particularly aggressive, only cards I"d shown in game were QQ twice (Other hand held up against a KQ) and I hadn"t been that involved due to lack of cards and bigger stacks to my right.
Cheers
Grant
