technolog's tales of domestic bliss, DIY & other nonsense

After Elvis Costello, I"d say my next favourite band (and certainly the one I"ve followed the most) would be The Saw Doctors. They"re from the same town as my mate Maeve (Tuam in County Galway), which is how I first got in to them.
I first came across them in the early nineties and have probably been to see them a dozen times or so.
One of my favourites from their first album (If This Is Rock & Roll I Want My Old Job Back) is this; I Useta Lover.

Leicester completed a competent victory over Treviso getting the try bonus point in the process as expected. It finished 62-15.
Unfortunately, Perpignan also gained the try bonus versus Llanelli so we face a tough away day in Dublin playing Leinster.

No Munster so switching teams - will get a little confusing Leinster/Leicester, but cmon Leinster

I"ve just started reading one of the books I"ve purchased recently, The Poker Mindset. I think it was Stuart that recommended it. Thank you Sir.
I"ve only read a couple of chapters. So far it"s outlined the attributes that make up a "poker mindset"
1. Understand and accept the realities of poker
2. Play for the long term
3. Emphasise correct decisions over making money
4. Desensitise yourself to money
5. Leave your ego at the door
6. Remove all emotion from decisions
7. Dedicate yourself to a continuous cycle of analysis and improvement
Of these point 7, analysis & improvement, is the one that jumps out as the one I need to concentrate on.
Also, as I don"t consider myself a natural gambler and am somewhat risk averse (hence being so tight), point 4, desensitise yourself to money, is perhaps another area I could work on a little. As a tournament player, so long as you play within your bankroll, I don"t think it"s too much of an issue. I have a separate bank account from which all my poker is played because I think it"s important not to let poker impinge on your day-to-day bill-paying ability. So that"s a plus point.

Jimmy Eck has recommended PokerXfactor as a good coaching/training vid site so I might sign up to them for a month or so and see how it goes. Having had a look, I"m sure it"ll help me, I"m just worried I"m too lazy to keep up the study.
