I had a similar problem in season 1 when I was going for the Championship. The boss told me I had to go to Luxemburg for a week, which clashed with 5 games at the end of the season. (See my blog) I know it's not in the same league as a trip to Australia
Great read
Chipaccrual:
Write-up, rub-down.
As I have mentioned before, I"m currently playing the BBP League games. Have had a decent run in the first four, but last night things just didn"t go to plan. Have just read the write-up on the BBP website, this made me laugh.
"At the top, Trevor "TeeDeeEye1" Ingman is remaining as defiant as ever despite a mediocre 37th place finish, maintaining a comfortable lead of 64 points with three Legs remaining. His saving grace was, surely, the disappointing showing from second-place Leigh "ch1paccrual" Wiltshire who could only muster 57th."
Disappointing you say ? :D

Thinking Time
It"s been a busy week on the work front, but also plenty of time to reflect on a few things.
I"ve been catching up on plenty of reading, a lot poker related. I came across an interesting blog on Betfair about a guy who has a four year plan to turn £1,000 into £1,000,000 through sports betting.
Through compounding up winnings, he"s aiming for a 5% compounded growth of his initial bankroll per week. So for example :-
Week Starting Balance Winnings Closing Balance 1 £1000 £50 £1050 2 £1050 £52.50 £1102.50 3 £1102.50 £55.13 £1157.63 4 £1157.63 £57.88 £1215.51 142 £972,055 £48,603 £1,020,659
Seems simple, doesn"t it ?
By placing 1% or 2% bets on a daily basis (Maximum 5% outlay), and grinding, little and often to make a small profit each day to get to your 5% growth each week.
Should be interesting to follow. It requires patience and control, which goes against a lot of what makes a gambler. So, is this more if an investment model than a gambling model ?
It"s got me thinking. ;)

is his name Neil?
