Never looked happy.  I made some money though.  Would have liked to have seen Kauto win, but the eventual winner seemed to have it comfortably sorted.

Onto the footie bet.

Swansea already in the bag.   ;D

Well, what a long day that was.

Finished at 5am, and as Tighty and I made our way back to the hotel, we both said we"d guess we"ll be awake by 10am, and pretty much as planned, we were both awake.  Just met up with Tighty back in the hotel bar. Seems a bit busier today, and I recognise a few of the people milling around from the tourney yesterday.

We"ve brought back 21 players for day 2, and it should be a cracker.  Four of the travelling crowd are still going, here"s my lowdown on those remaining.

Glenn Laming - Pretty much been Mr Consistent from what I saw on day one.  Went about his business quietly, and has built his stack to 108.5k.  Glenn has been in this position in APAT's before, and accidents aside, I"d expect him to hit the final table here.

Robbie Lakes - Chipleader on 137k, and Mr Aggressive at the table.  His raises have involved grabbing a pile of chips and pushing them into the middle.  It means he"s priced himself into quite a few pots, but has managed to win more than he lost against the smaller stacks.  If his aggression holds, he"s in wth a really good shout to win this.

Beth MacInnes - Played a really good last level of the night, and now has 99.7k.  I now feel my sideline poker tips during a break may have come across slightly patronising, as Beth played a brilliant hand later on, which showed she can really play.  Don"t know where she learnt poker, but it can"t have been from Craig.   ;)

Gary Palmer - Mr J 4.  Was card dead late on last night, and had the chipleader to his right, which meant finding open positions was tough (And it showed).  Coming back with 31.1k means he"s going to have to get busy and probably get a bit lucky, but he deserves a double up and to go a bit deeper in this tourney.  As I said to him last night, "Tomorrows another day, and it might be yours".

So, there we go.  We kick off again at 4:15pm GMT.  Work to do now and until then.

I"ve been told all about this by Ger this weekend.

I may well take you up on the offer.
