Freeroll Freeloaders!
A couple of thoughts with reference to the Genting Freeroll for APAT members:
I noticed a couple of weeks ago a post asking for the password for the mentioned freeroll from a member who had amassed a grand total of one post! Okay, at least this person bothered to join but, if he had searched through the site a bit harder he could have found it anyway!
Tonight saw a lot of entries into this competition from all parts of the world, I"m guessing that many weren"t members.... How did they get the password? It was openly offered in the "Rail on Sunday" post!
One player on my opening table just kept shoving all-in every hand and goating people to call (fortunately he didn"t win when eventually called but still not very APAT like). I also read elsewhere of some "un-APAT" chat!
I"ve viewed various sections on the forum and also found the password for the recent National Online League... It was in a thread headed up as "password"!
I understand that all people involved in organising and running these events aren"t exactly doing it for the money but surely there must be a better way than publicly displaying it to anyone who visits the forum? How many unregistered players are likely to find their way into the up and coming Online Team Events?

The Times They Are A"changing!
It"s been a while since I"ve posted anything about my life outside of poker, a lot has changed so I will try to keep it short!
Since being made redundant at the beginning of the year I ventured into self-employment. This started off very well, tailed off in the middle and the less said about the end the better! However, I have no regrets. I didn"t lose any money over it, I actually done okay from it for the first three months. So good that I was able to allow myself to work part time for about two and a half months which allowed me to enjoy the birth and the first two months of my daughter"s life.

Three weeks ago I managed to bag myself a job doing what I have done for the last 20 years, I"ve fallen back into it quite comfortably and am really enjoying it.
This time last year I was excited about going to play in the Goliath in Coventry and then travelling a short distance to Nottingham for the APAT event. Unfortunately, this year I am unable to do both. I"m a father now and have responsibilities! This means APAT will be missed this year. The Goliath has been chosen over APAT purely because about half a dozen others from our local Tuesday night game are also going.
Good luck to all playing at DTD and maybe see some of you who are also playing the Goliath.

Has it really been that long since I posted on here?
Hello, remember me?
So, over 120 days since my last post... Where have I been? Well, nowhere really!
I have eased back on my poker playing over the last few months, I used to play the $11 Sunday games on PokerStars virtually every week but it has proved more difficult to do with my other commitments (baby feeding, nappy changing, baby sitting).
I haven"t really missed the endless hours of playing online, in fact I probably feel better about playing because I"m playing less! I may consider setting up a Staking Request sometime soon, probably just playing a few games on the APAT site. My online results don"t seem that great and probably wouldn"t be considered as a brilliant investment opportunity but I think thats more due to my bad bankroll management!
I really wish I could play more live games though, I play my local weekly £5 re-buy but that"s not quite APAT!
Here"s hoping I can find a way to sort this!
Looking forward to the upcoming National Online Cup.
See you all at the virtual tables soon.
