APAT Ireland Runner Up Interview: Brendan Hartnett
Harmony26:
I can only echo the views and thoughts expressed in these posts, Brendan, and just wish to goodness we"d been able to be there.
A brilliant interview - thank you both Richard and Brendan.

Great interview Brendan. It was a privilege playing with you. Same for Paul, who came third. Brave betting three-way. It it had worked out, I"m confident that you"d have won it. So I guess in the end I was lucky that Brendan won that coin flip and I won my coin flip against Brendan.
--- Quote from: kinboshi on June 07, 2007, 11:30:15 AM ---No offence to Jacques, but I was hoping you"d take it down at the end Brendan - and from the level of support, I certainly wasn"t the only one!

None taken. If I was railing the final, I"d be cheering for Brendan too.

This was the first time I"d met Brendan, I had seen the posts on Blonde poker forum following his illness earlier this year & could tell by the support on there that he must be a top bloke! Sometimes people inspire me....but not many.
Colchester Kev & I gave him a lift down the stairs following the Friday night "Tighty" mad game in the Fitz........... "just pick me up one each side & we"ll be fine" he said. We laughed all the way down the bloody stairs!
To see him make the final table was just great & then to go on and get 2nd......well we all know how fisically demanding this game can be, I was truly inspired by a great man...............well done Brendan!
Finally..........well played Jacques, conducted yourself in the true APAT spirit!
;D ;D ;D

Excellent interview.
Brendon, it was a pleasure to rail the final table and to witness your aggressive play close up. A brilliant heads up battle that was intense, exciting & emotional. Very well played Sir.
