All we need to do now is move some of these "great venues" to the South East!

Alas...if only they existed.

Do they not then? I"m genuinely interested because I don"t play live round my area so have no idea.

The short(ish) answer is..."No"...unless someone knows different.
The requirements are such that finding a venue is quite difficult. This has been covered a number of times before but I know that the APAT team are more than interested in being kept informed of potential venues by locals.

London can be done, The Vic for example, or even in a hotel I know the owner of. The International might be able to cope now (but the regularly run £100+ and might not be interested). The Fox I think isn"t big enough unfortunately.

We are in London in December for the Pro-Am Masters (Please form an orderly queue for any Ben Young comments ;D )
Both The Vic and The Fox Club would be great venues.

I assumed that South-East meant "excluding London"
The Vic we"ve done and I think you are right on the International.
I think the Fox could cope (at a squeeze...I believe that they have 18 tables) especially as that is the planned Pro-Am venue, but I don"t have details of that yet.
As has been mentioned, hotels are not currently a viable option.
Paulie_D:
Just to tack on..
By "South-East, I would include...Kent, Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk...if anyone local has options, I"m sure the lads would love to explore them.
A couple of basic requirements:
FULL casino licence
15 - 20 poker tables with associated dealers/chips/TD etc.
Willingness to host (at the available budget)
Let"s hear "em...we"ll knock "em down. ;D

Not sure about this bit, The LPC was run out of the Kensington Close hotel and was 100% legit, they used "voluntary rake" but since APAT don"t charge juice we dont have to worry.
As for South east, yeh it sucks big time! G Casino Thanet and who wants to go there?

The question is "does the LPC have the requisite licence?"*...APAT doesn"t and isn"t likely too in the forseeable future.
If the LPC managed to squeeze one past the GC..fair play...but that"s not a risk that Mr Duffy is gonna take on in this universe.
EDIT: *It seems the LPC were granted a Licence in 2009.
