MAIR:
Great result Wayne, very nice indeed!
nosey-p:
The game started at 8.00 at 10.30 Mrs nosey-p said “I'm off to bed” so I looked in the lobby to find that I was in 240th out of about 260, I think I had about 21/2 blinds top 200 got paid so I replied to the wife “be up in 10 minutes.”.
Up to now I was up and down, slowly building my stack but then calling small stacks and loosing. Then with 21/2 blinds left it was push, push, push 20 minutes later I found myself in the money and I was average stack.
After that I would say I played some of my best poker ever. I was getting some good cards but never getting grate cards (AA, KK, AK) but just seemed to be reading the table, I think it's what you call “in the zone”. My stack was never in danger
Final table, I was in 3rd place so I sat back, until we were down to five. Then again I was getting mediocre cards but I had to start playing. I suppose by this time I had I tight image because I was raising and re-raising with garbage and getting away with it. Or I was just playing out of my skin. The final hand was my best hand of the final table KK. So I just limp hoping he would push (as he was previously doing) and he did. Game set and match.

Great stuff Wayne. That"s a massive field.
Out of interest, how many times did you "run good"? Did you have to win many races, did you have all your chips in at all as the underdog, etc.?

When I got in the money my stack was never in threat. I hardly ever got to the river, and when we did my hand always held up.
I never had to suck out
It was as close to perfect poker I have ever played.
Now all I need to do is do the same in a bigger buy-in. An APAT live game would be nice ;)

Tell me about it, last night I:
bubbled in a $24 tournament
bubbled in a $10 tournament
cashed in the ... $1 tournament - typical >:(

Great stuff Wayne. Only ever felt completely "in the zone" a couple of times. Been a while though...
Give us a shout next time you"re running deep, and we can rail you!
APAT:
Congratulations Wayne, great result.
