really wanted to go to cork. debs and i booked leave about 2 months ago however is it logistically feasible from east of england.........???????????
ryan air : from stansted -two flights 6:20am or 19:55
            from cork- 8:10am or 21:45
             luton none
            from gatwick 14:35 depart
                     13:05 return from cork. decent times but very far to gatwick
easyjet dont do cork    
aer aaran do cork from manchester
aer lingus from heathrow [Mod Edit: And Gatwick]
any other ideas or possibilites?

Best option is Ryanair from LGW and the flight times work out.

Depends how you were planning on getting to the airport. It"s probably 90 minutes to 2 hours drive from Stansted to Gatwick (assuming no traffic).

i suppose you could to STN - DUB - CORK as suggested above but that"ll probably add about the same in Dublin what with transfers to the station and whatnot....plus you have to do it in reverse on the Monday which would be a drag.

I"d bite the bullet and fly from Gatwick...in fact, I will be.

Don"t mind flying to Dublin FFS!!!  Train will take ages from Dublin.  Luton to Kerry and get a train from Kerry (Killarney) to Cork is best option if you"re intending to do a train.
