I find travelling to Scotland/Wales/Ireland/Newcastle/Blackpool a pain....could we hold all of next years events in Luton or DTD please?

At the very least could we hold them in cities with train stations...oh, wait!

Sorry Shug! ;D

I found this sounding Sarcastic rather than tounge in cheek , but hey maybe the way i just took it and hence maybe why was very defensive.

Not a problem...it"s tough to convey "tongue in cheek" when writing and only smilies to work with.

Getting back to Shug"s original point though...if anyone has ideas on where APAT could host an event next year (that are well served from a transportation point of view or not), why not start a thread with some information on it and others could weigh in about the feasability based on local knowledge?

a move out of scotland would be a terrible move for ATAP IMO with the growing scottish following APAT have! Its like taking the UKIPT Edinburgh out of the pokerstars tour. As for the travel point im on the fence just now as i know how hard a job the guys have to secure venues but i also do agree with shug that it would be nice to have a easy to travel to venue for all!

100% agree with duke that things can be easily miscounstrued when just reading its happened to me so many times.

As for scottish venues for next season.... give me a shout guys if you want some input/help securing one! ;)

Re: the moving out of Scotland thing. I only mentioned it to highlight how difficult is has been in the past couple of years.

Past experience has shown the short supply of suitable venues in Scotland that tick all the boxes.

I want to emphasise that moving would have been the VERY last resort if Richard couldn"t find a venue. Fortunately, this hasn"t happened and, thanks in no small part to the Glasgow contingent, it looks as though this won"t be an issue.
