Horse trainer Michael Jarvis died age 73
CincinnatiKid:
Saw him a couple of times here in germany. Great personality and most respected too. Famous horses like Carroll House, Rakti and Morshdi were trained by him.
After he retired in February he died last Tuesday.
R.I.P.

+1, following on so quickly after Ginger McCain, sad times in horse racing. R.I.P gentlemen :(

yep Kremlin House wont be same without him around, no doubt Gay will keep tabs on things though..
wow Cincinnati not many will remember Morshdi as he was rather over shadowed by Galileo, but as u are in Germany then obvious u will remember the odd Baden winner :) Carroll House was something else, a Baden :) and a L"Arc de Triomphe...
Sad he wont about to see if Mossbrae races as well as he looks, not been out yet but entered up in the Racing Post Trophy [keep a eye out for him] ... saw him in back in August doing some half speed work on the Limekilns [vvv nice looking big sort, better to come from 3yo+] nice pedigree to, his great grand dam came out of Secretariat and if he has inherited any part of those genes he might not be half bad :)

Secretariat, what a horse!!!!! Must keep an eye on Mossbrae then, cheers Noble. Had the pleasure of meeting Mr Jarvis at a couple of meetings in Doncaster, while myself and a colleague were involved in planting seeds to the BHB to set up the Scottish Racing Academy. A real gentleman.

Yes noble, it was the 2nd of sept when Morshdi won the Grosse Preis von Baden. Day before my gelding was close runner-up in a smaller handicap.
