It"s the big finale to the online league tonight, so hoping to see a big turnout.
It"s also my last game as captain - let me or APAT know if you are interested in the job.

.... or alternatively, you could all sign up for Kent next year :D
Seriously John, well done on your leadership, I wish the team well in the final game of the season. Good Luck

Playing for Solent tonight:
andantemoto
AzaWaugh
hpax1310
wightline
hhazeldene
skippylppl
MintTrav
Do what you like - it would be nice to win or pick up some further points, but we will finish 3rd overall anyway.
-
So, at the break, skippylppl, who has been in the top 2/3 throughout, is currently 2nd.
12 hpax1310
21 wightline
30 AzaWaugh
39 hhazeldene
andantemoto and MintTrav are no longer taking part in this tournament.

Aza doubles up, then a bit more, then criticizes the captain for being out as usual.
The captain who spent two years trying to get him to play until he finally joined for the last game and immediately final-tabled it - there"s gratitude.
skippylppl [a recent winner of this tournamemt] now chip-leader!
1 skippylppl
16 wightline
17 AzaWaugh
25 hhazeldene
26 hpax1310

Aza finishes 18th to maintain his 100% "in the points" record - 2 from 2.
Helen finishes 15th to maintain her 100% "in the points" record - 3 from 3. Should have played more Hel!
-
Meanwhile, Helen"s hubby, Justin is putting up an incredible performance.
From chip-leader to down and out on 1,000 chips with about 18 left.
Since then he has gone mental, all-in every time I look, getting folds when he wants but getting calls at the right times too.
Now back up to 4th on 20,000 chips (briefly 3rd a minute ago).
-
With 8 left, Justin needs to finish 6th to overtake the current leader of the season individual title, though there is still another player still in who is just 4 points behind Justin and will also overtake the current leader if he finishes 4th.
If Justin outlasts him (or finishes no more than 1 place lower) - he takes the title. Two places lower would mean a countback, unless it was 1st & 3rd. Clear?
-
That player just eliminated in 7th. Justin almost there. One fly left in the ointment - there is one player left who can pip Justin if he wins and Justin goes out next in 6th.
If Justin gets 5th - it"s all over. If he gets 6th, the other still has to win.
Go Justin.....
-
OMG - we have a Champion.
Justin has won the Division 1 Player of the Year.
-
Well done Justin, well played all season :)

Well done Justin, well played all season :)
+ 1.
-
So he gets to Heads-Up. If we knew he was going to do that there would have been no dramas.
Well done Just - a 2nd to add to your recent 1st, 5th & 12th.
And the wife finished in the points yet again.
-
Well done Justin.... Shown more patience than I did... You got Lucky with that HU against Ger but well played. I thought you were out at one point then noticed you had about 1100 chips sliding back to you.. As I say, I need to try to be more patient. Really enjoyed this season and very happy with my 5th or 6th overall for the season..

Justin, you are the man. Very many congratulations. :o Our captain must be very proud of you. I vote you for his successor.
-
Thank you for everybody"s comments. Yes, did get lucky a couple of times, but I will take it. Can I add a thank you to Mr John Murray, a true gent, for being our captain and always encouraging us to play for the team. I have too many responsibilities at present to put my name forward for the captain role, and hope we can find one soon :) - well played everybody for yesterday, not sure if anyone noticed, my computer froze during the last 4 players, my computer then re-booted itself, I came back and was virtually heads up. That didn"t last too long - well done the winner :)

Just realised I"m still posting under my wife"s login, oops - it is skippy really!!!!
