Title: LBPN Final Table

So its the end of season Final Table with a top prize of £600, £300 for second, everyone who has made the FT gets at least £50. The FT comprises of the top 5 in the league ( A ten game season) and four qualifiers from two satellites. The league winner starts the FT with 40k and the Sat qualifiers with 17.5K and the others in between.
I have satellited in, and have built my stack up to 29K, there are 7 players left and I am currently 4th. Blinds are 600/1200/75 and we have been going for about 3-4 hours.
The CL ( who has a tight image) raises in the cut off to 3K, I am in the BB with KK, what is my next move? Do I raise or shove?

I like a raise to 7.6k or just a call

Call, check raise on flop (with no Ace)

My thoughts were, I have the second best starting hand, I want to get some value. I could shove and pretty much guarantee to TID there and then and pad my stack. But I elect to raise to 8K, hoping for a call. I get the call, and as such I am putting him on a big ace or a decent pocket pair. So I am not wanting to see an Ace. Flop comes 6 10 6. I check with the intention of CR, but he just checks back ( a warning? ) turn is a 5, putting two diamonds on the board. I decide to end it here, and shove, he snap calls and tables 69!! I don"t improve and am gone!
So firstly how does he make that call? Secondly could I have got away?

Either 3bet small or call pre. As played donk flop really tiny and then put your 50p in the tin. 

Lol at ever folding, never mind on that flop
