Amazed it hasn"t filled up already since he put his name down.

Bit like when Hellmuth announces he"s playing in an episode of High Stakes Poker.   ;)

Shame you can"t make it Rob, sitting 2nd in the rankings too.  :(

This is a real teaser of what to do. I mean naturally I like this cash game / tournament idea it sounds like it could be a lot of fun. However I don't want to put my name down because naturally I want to be still playing in the main tournament on Sunday. And I feel I would be giving myself bad karma by having a get out clause if I get knocked out on Saturday, situations like that would cloud my judgement somewhat. Throw into the mix that I'll be staying in London that weekend and on the Sunday its Arsenal Man United, it would be a shame to miss that match if I was free on Sunday and if I could get tickets of course. So then I have more problems if I manage to get tickets and don't get knocked out on Saturday then I have tickets to get rid of on very short notice.
What's probably going to happen I won't do either, donk all my chips off on Saturday and drive home Saturday night with my tail between my legs as normal.
Am I thinking about this too much d'you think? I don't know what to do..

I would just like to clarify our position - if all three of us bomb out the ME, there is every likelihood that we wont be at the casino on the sunday.  However if one or more of us do happen to luckbox our way to day 2 then the others will probably participate in this side event.

Hope this is ok, but if not we are happy for our names to be taken off the list and we will take our chances on a list on the day (if there is one) if we do end up wanting and be there to play.

Out of interest....why is it restricted to 120 players btw ? Is this an APAT thing ?

As where the current tables are could fit 120 and the previous card room is now basically empty and could fit another 20 tables probably.

the venue has restricted the Main tournament to 130 players, that"s all it holds without the considerable expense of hiring tables etc for the empty room

the cash tournament is restricted to 50

Didnt see a reply to my earlier post but what I am asking does seem slightly at odds from this para from the player briefing:

Any players who make day 2 of the APAT European Amateur Poker Championship will be able to cancel their Cash Tour seat reservation.

Just want to make sure we arent hauled over the coals if we dont make the sunday.  Happy for our names to come off the reserve list if required.

That"s fine Andy, but just let one of us know on the Saturday evening if all three of you end up heading home.  That way we"ll free the seats.

Have you been causing offence again ?

Hopefully it will get filled with some of the local players.  Better make sure they are fully aware of the structure though, otherwise it could get messy later.

Players will be able to buy into the cash tour test from around 2.40pm in the room with the three tables by the big screen.  Everybody who wants to play will get a seat.
