Ok, after picking Lee Baron for a final table in Manchester and him coming up trumps..... I"ll probably now put the kiss of death on my two picks...  :D

Gerard Smyth
Lee Mulligan

Edit: Picked 3 instead of 2 - sorry

Daniel Phillips, to make it to day 2, but short stacked  ;D

Mr Kinfishie will make day two this weekend, I can feel it in my water...which reminds me, time to change the bag.

I"ll go for Alan Lake and Richard Offless.  I was going to pick two players at random but one of them was Michael Paterson.  I have no idea who this chap is, I"m sure he"s a great player, but I decided to pick again as his name is an anagram of LOSE APAT MINCER.  A bad omen if I ever I saw one.  Good luck to him though and everyone else.  Really looking forward to it.

I hope he doesn"t take offense to this, it"s actually not correct anyway as there"s no H in LOSE APAT MINCER.

I"ve just realised who Michael Paterson is.   :-[In my defense I was asleep for most of the latter part of December so I missed the coverage of the OnLive event.

Due to a prior engangement I will not be travelling down until Saturday morning. Therefore by my calculations it will not be until 10pm that I will be chucking my chips at someone  ;D

My two picks

Rich Offless -- Mr consistant APAT final tablist
Dewi James -- If he can stay awake long enough  ;D

Damm if only i had another o in my name ,i could have been LOOSE APAT MINCER, that would have been closer to the truth.

Gordon"s due a good run in one of these, so I"ll bok pick him.

Got to go for Rich Offless as an each-way bet. Mr Consistent at APAT.

I"ll also go for Rich Prew to be at another APAT final table, again without winning anything (other than our admiration).

I go for Lee as having the longest journey to the casino.  He should be a soldier that fella.

Having shared hotel lodgings with Mr Paterson, it is my sad duty to confirm this as an entirely accurate description.

call me bigheaded, but with 2 top five finishes in my last 3 APAT online events, first choice is.....me (Simon Alcock). After that, my choice is limited by only having played one previous national, so I"ll go for 2 players I saw at Luton,  namely Surah Shah and Joshua Sugarman

I"ll go for...

Rich Stevenson because an anagram of his name is CHESS INVENTOR

and I was going to pick myself but then realised that one of the few anagrams of my name is ANAL LEAK!!!

So, I"m going to go for one of the big name players making the trip................
